According to anew survey from IDC, sponsored by Facebook, 89% of 18-24-year-old smartphone owners reach for their device within 15 minutes of waking up, and 74% reach for it immediately after waking up. Among all smartphone owners surveyed (iOS and Android users aged 18-44), 1 in 4 could not recall a time during the day that their device was not within reach or in the same room.
